Why do I need my CPC certification?

The CPC Certification is recognized by employers across the world. Once you have obtained the CPC Certification, it validates to employers that you have the knowledge and understanding of CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10. Most jobs require that a Medical Coder be certified through AAPC or AHIMA.
What is The CPC exam?

It consists of 100 Multiple Choice Questions and some questions consists of coding scenarios to test proper application of CPT (procedural coding), ICD-10 (diagnosis codes) and HCPCS Level II (supply codes). You must complete the exam within 4 hours with a passing score of 70% and above.
What is the CRC Exam?

This exam is 4 hours and it consists of 100 multiple choice questions and requires a passing score of 70% and above. It test proper application of ICD-10 codes Only.
Can we make up classes?

CPC Medical Coder Course There are No Make-up classes. Students will have 2-Day access to missed class recordings, weekly assignments will still be sent and 1:1 Meetings will be available for questions. Students are only allowed to receive 2 missed days of missed recordings. If student miss more than 2 days, the student will no longer be eligible to missed recordings. When student miss more than 2 days of class, the student will be required to self-study for the class missed. This is a 16-Week only course and attendance is REQUIRED. Classes start promptly on Saturdays from 9am-3:30pm EST and there will be a 30-minute lunch break. Students are expected to stay until class is dismissed and return promptly from lunch breaks. CRC Medical Coder Course THERE ARE NO MAKE-UP CLASSES. This is a 2-day Bootcamp and attendance is REQUIRED. This course is taught only 1 time a year. Students are eligible to receive 1 day of recording if class is missed. Classes start promptly on Saturdays from 9am-5pm EST and there will be a 30-minute lunch break. Students are expected to stay until class is dismissed and return promptly from lunch breaks. 1:1 Virtual Tutoring Services Tutoring shall begin on the scheduled day and thereafter on an ad hoc basis as mutually agreed upon by Tutor and Student. Fees are calculated according to the times stipulated in the schedule and no adjustment shall be made for time lost because of late arrival by the student. Any lost time because of the late arrival of the Tutor shall be compensated for by extending a lesson by mutual agreement and by such amount of time.
What is AAPC and what does AAPC stand for?

American Academy for Professional Coders. It is the world's largest training and credentialing organization for the business and healthcare, with members worldwide working in medical coding, billing, auditing, compliance, clinical documentation improvement, revenue cycle management and practice management.
Refund Policy

Virtual CPC Medical Coder Course Tuition and fees paid, if applicable, must be refunded at a prorated amount, based on percentage of paid segment (i.e., total program) completed, should the student withdraw before 50% completion of the course. All refunds will be remitted within 45 days of the request. Nonrefundable fees for services and books provided by third-party vendors purchased on behalf of the student are permitted should the institution be unable to reuse the services or books or cancel the service. These items include AAPC student membership, ICD-10 book, CPT book, HCPCS book, Carol Buck Step by Step Coding book, and Workbook. Virtual CRC Medical Coder Course Tuition and fees paid, if applicable, must be refunded at a prorated amount, based on percentage of paid segment (i.e., total program) completed, should the student withdraw before 50% completion of the course. All refunds will be remitted within 45 days of the request. Unpaid Tuition and Late Fees Full Tuition is due at Tuition deadline unless you are on a Payment Plan. There will be a $100 late fee per month on all Payment Plans. See above for Payment Plan Policy.
